Foreclosure filings remain at high rate in Utah, U.S.

About 1.7 million homeowners — 18,000 in Utah — received a foreclosure-related warning in the first six months of the year, a new report shows.

The numbers illustrate that Utah’s housing market continues to suffer. While one in 78 U.S. homes received a foreclosure-related filing between January and June, the rate in the Beehive State was substantially worse — 1 in 52, according to RealtyTrac, which tracks filings.
