Who is Utah? Survey shows we're largest, highest, lowest, youngest

The annual American Community Survey, which was released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau. The statistics gives a snapshot of America, and Utah, in hundreds of categories. The survey this year shows that Utahns still are typically young, white, married, have a household income of $54,744, have two cars and a house worth $217,200. Salt Lake Tribune

Note: The American Community Survey now provides much of the demographic information formerly collected only during the decennial census. The full set of estimates isn't available for all geographies right now, but the Census Bureau indicates they will be available September 27. Plan on taking some time to acquaint yourself with this data retrieval system. We'll continue to highlight data from the survey here.
