County unemployment rates are now available for November 2011. Most counties in Utah are following the state and national trends of shrinking unemployment. In fact, many counties have experienced unemployment rate declines between 1 and 2 percentage points during the past 12 months. However, two counties actually experienced significant increases in the level of joblessness--Garfield and Wayne counties. The shutdown of what was Wayne County's largest employer has contributed to its recent increase.
