The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The 4-week moving average of nationwide initial claims has decreased from the revised number of 367,000 last week to 365,250 this week.
The report dated 16 February 2012 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 11 February 2012. During this week, 1,868 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 2,129 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the 4-week moving average.

- 2,172 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 197 from the prior week and decrease of 493 from same week in 2011).
- 26,623 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 125 from the prior week and decrease of 5,856 from same week in 2011).
- 11,817 continued EUC08 weeks claimed (decrease of 101 from the prior week and decrease of 6,768 from same week in 2011).
