USU awarded bulk of state specialty crop grants

The Utah Department of Agriculture & Food has approved 16 projects to  receive a total of $260,151 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Specialty Crop Block Grant funds.

Twenty seven applications were submitted which requested a total of $600,000 in funding. The selected projects demonstrated a measurable benefit for the specialty crop industry and are expected to assist more than just a single producer.
