Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for 11 September 2014

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims was 302,750, an increase of 3,000 from the previous week's revised average.

The report reflects unemployment numbers for week-ending 6 September 2014.  During this week, 1,141 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,239 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.
  • 1,232 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 63 from the prior week and decrease of 305 from same week in 2013).
  • 10,870 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 263 from the prior week and decrease of 2,517 from same week in 2013).
  • 0 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (no change from the prior week and decrease of 2,675 from the same week in 2013).
