"WinCo Foods is on the dotted line to serve as the anchor tenant for the multi-million dollar Fort Lane Village development. The Boise, Idaho-based grocery store chain has purchased 8.74 acres in what will be a 22-acre commercial retail development. The property owned by Fort Lane Village LLC, was recently sold to the grocery chain as part of an effort to revitalize the old shopping center, located at the corner of Fort Lane and Gentile Street. The jobs that will come with the store and the revitalization of the area surrounding it, Mayor Steve Curtis said, are the backbone of the city's economy as Layton continues to experience multiple-job growth with the companies that have committed to the area."
