The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from DOL. The 4-week moving average of nationwide initial claims has decreased from the revised number of 396,250 last week to 393,250 this week.
The report dated December 03, 2011 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending November 26, 2011. During this week, 3,135 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 2,506 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the 4-week moving average.
- 2,746 initial UI claims filed (increase of 138 from the prior week and decrease of 444 from same week in 2010)
- 20,012 continued UI weeks claimed (increase of 756 from the prior week and decrease of 4,737 from same week in 2010)
- 12,503 continued EUC08 weeks claimed (increase of 67 from the prior week and decrease of 7,750 from same week in 2010)
