The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The 4-week moving average of nationwide initial claims has decreased from the revised number of 355,750 last week to 355,750 this week.
The report dated 15 March 2012 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 10 March 2012. During this week, 1,683 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,968 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the 4-week moving average.

- 1,852 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 46 from the prior week and decrease of 274 from same week in 2011).
- 24,687 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 618 from the prior week and decrease of 5,827 from same week in 2011).
- 11,703 continued EUC08 weeks claimed (increase of 27 from the prior week and decrease of 6,178 from same week in 2011).
