The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The 4-week moving average of nationwide initial claims has decreased from the revised number of 354,000 last week to 359,500 this week.
The report dated 1 March 2012 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 25 February 2012. During this week, 2,019 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,738 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the 4-week moving average.

- 1,939 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 75 from the prior week and decrease of 368 from same week in 2011).
- 25,822 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 468 from the prior week and decrease of 5,934 from same week in 2011).
- 11,658 continued EUC08 weeks claimed (decrease of 11 from the prior week and decrease of 6,608 from same week in 2011).
