Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims has increased from the revised number of 346,250 last week to 345,500 this week.

The report dated 3 July 2013 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 22 June 2013. During this week, 1,593 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,667 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.

• 1,698 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 32 from the prior week and decrease of 99 from same week in 2012).
• 14,141 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 92 from the prior week and decrease of 1,320 from same week in 2012).
• 3,021 continued EUC08 weeks claimed (decrease of 12 from the prior week and decrease of 4,862 from the same week in 2012).
