Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report 14 November 2013

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims was 344,000, a decrease of 5,750 from the previous week's revised average of 349,750.
 
The report dated 14 November 2013 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 9 November 2013. During this week, 2,408 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 2,068 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.

• 2,063 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 175 from the prior week and decrease of 76 from same week in 2012). 
• 14,115 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 526 from the prior week and increase of 575 from same week in 2012). 
• 2,621 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (decrease of 2 from the prior week and decrease of 3,507 from the same week in 2012).
