Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for 12 June 2014

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims was 310,250, a decrease of 2,250 from the previous week's revised average.

The report reflects unemployment numbers for week-ending 7 June 2014. During this week, 1,592 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,313 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.
  • 1,439 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 21 from the prior week and decrease of 195 from same week in 2013).
  • 12,269 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 195 from the prior week and decrease of 2,422 from same week in 2013).
  • 1 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (no change from the prior week and decrease of 3,092 from the same week in 2013).
