Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for 19 June 2014

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims was 317,000, an increase of 4,000 from the previous week's revised average.

The report reflects unemployment numbers for week-ending 14 June 2014. During this week, 1,428 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,592 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.

• 1,416 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 23 from the prior week and decrease of 164 from same week in 2013).
• 12,105 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 164 from the prior week and decrease of 2,329 from same week in 2013).
• 1 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (no change from the prior week and decrease of 2,987 from the same week in 2013).
