Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for 26 June 2014

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims was 311,750, a decrease of 3,750 from the previous week's revised average.

The report reflects unemployment numbers for week-ending 21 June 2014.  During this week, 1,421 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,428 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.
  • 1,439 initial UI claims filed (increase of 22 from the prior week and decrease of 133 from same week in 2013).
  • 11,973 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 133 from the prior week and decrease of 2,335 from same week in 2013).
  • 1 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (no change from the prior week and decrease of 3,165 from the same week in 2013).
