Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for 3 July 2014

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims was 314,250, a increase of 2,000 from the previous week's revised average.

The report reflects unemployment numbers for week-ending 28 June 2014.  During this week, 1,333 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,421 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.
  • 1,444 initial UI claims filed (increase of 5 from the prior week and decrease of 286 from same week in 2013).
  • 11,902 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 71 from the prior week and decrease of 2,331 from same week in 2013).
  • 0 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (decrease of 1 from the prior week and decrease of 3,032 from the same week in 2013).
