Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for 13 February 2014

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The four-week moving average of nationwide initial claims was 336,750, an increase of 3,500 from the previous week's revised average of 333,250.

The report dated 13 February 2014 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 8 February 2014. During this week, 1,906 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,887 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.

  • 1,929 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 346 from the prior week and decrease of 729 from same week in 2013).
  • 20,922 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 3 from the prior week and decrease of 2,500 from same week in 2013).
  • 14 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (decrease of 3 from the prior week and decrease of 5,307 from the same week in 2013).
