Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report for 27 March 2014

The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The  4-week moving average was 317,750, a decrease of 9,500 from the previous week's revised average of 327,250.

The report dated 27 March 2014 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 22 March 2014. During this week, 1,356 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,443 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the four-week moving average.
  • 1,442 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 27 from the prior week and decrease of 291 from same week in 2013).
  • 18,195 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 790 from the prior week and decrease of 3,418 from same week in 2013).
  • 4 continued Extended Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) weeks claimed (no change from the prior week and decrease of 4,376 from the same week in 2013).
